  • Special Announcement: Although the majority of this trip will have a mission focus, this trip has additionally been approved to be a science lab class! If you would like to receive academic credit for this experience, you will be enrolled in BIOL 2884 - International Studies in Biology (4 credits). For science majors, this course typically counts as an environmental elective, and for non-science majors, it often fulfills the General Education lab science requirement. Because this is an academic course, there will be class assignments before, during and after the trip, which are required in order to earn course credit. If you would prefer to participate in this experience as a mission trip only, that option is available as well. Mission only participants will still attend a few mandatory preparation meetings, but not as frequently as those enrolled for academic credit. If you have any questions about how this works or how it fits into your degree plan, please email Dr. Mohr at jmohr@swu.edu
