Women's Golf Gears Up for First Season

CENTRAL, S.C. – Head Golf Coach Douglas Wilkinson enters his fifth season with the Warrior golf program, but will be entering his first season coaching the inaugural women’s golf team at Southern Wesleyan University.
“I am very excited to start the first women’s golf program in school history,” commented Wilkinson.
The newest Warrior team will not wait too long to get started as they will travel to Anderson University for their first ever tournament on September 10th.
“I am looking forward to opening up nearby at Anderson. This will allow a young team to have some ease going into their first college tournament with being able to sleep in their own beds and not being on the road,” continued Wilkinson.
The Warriors will then travel to the Emmanuel College Tournament on September 24th, before heading to the NCCAA National Championships in Panama City, Fla. on October 22nd.
“I am excited to watch this team grow through this year and see what we can accomplish in the first season of the program’s history,” finished Wilkinson.
