Southern Wesleyan University may release directory information to third-party requestors (non-SWU parties) for currently enrolled students and graduates. Data on currently enrolled students is released after the official enrollment census of the term.
Directory Information at SWU includes:
For third-party requests for information, SWU will charge fees for the search, retrieval, redaction, and copying of records.
For the production of a request for directory information, a flat rate of $50 ($25 for doctoral research) is charged for each external report, payable at the time the data request form is submitted by the requestor. Payments can be submitted via credit/debit card upon the submission of the request.
For the production of an information request beyond that of directory information, additional fees may apply. Additional fees are assessed at the rate of $50 per hour ($25 per hour for doctoral research) when the cost of the individual’s work in collecting/generating electronic and/or print copy student information and redacting/copying/report creation for the response exceeds one hour of labor. A final determination as to the release of the information may be made within 10 work days (excluding University holidays) of the date the University receives the request and initial payment of $50.00. If a third-party request for information will require additional fees, the requestor will be notified of additional amount above the flat rate of $50.00. Requested reports, data, or other information will not be provided until all assessed fees are paid in full.
