Warriors Selected 7th in Preseason Men's Soccer Poll

CENTRAL, S.C. - The Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) men's soccer coaches have selected Southern Wesleyan University seventh overall in the 2012 preseason poll. SWU came in with 67 total points, as Southern Polytechnic State University was selected as the preseason favorite with six first place votes for 136 points.
"We are excited for the upcoming 2012 season," commented SWU Head Men's Soccer Coach Camilo Rodriguez. "The SSAC is one of the top conferences in the NAIA, and we must compete at a high level for each game for us to be successful."
SWU finished last season 10-8 overall and 7-5 in conference play, while also finishing out the final 2011 NAIA Coaches Poll in the receiving votes category. The Warriors open up the season on the road against non-conference opponent Bob Jones University on Friday, August 31st with kick-off set for 8:15 PM.
