2012 Missions Trip
Dear Friends,
The Southern Wesleyan University Women's Volleyball Team has been invited to join Ignite International for their 4th trip to Israel and Palestine in May 2012!! We are so excited about the opportunity to not only walk physically where Jesus walked, but also to walk AS He walked and to pour out His love on His beloved people in His homeland. While we are there we will also have the opportunity to compete against teams in Israel and conduct clinics and outreaches in both Israel and Palestine. We have a unique opportunity to be agents of peace in the midst of tensions that have run deep for generations. We will be ministering to people in many of the exact places noted in Biblical history, including Bethlehem where we will connect with a Bible college made up of predominantly Palestinian Christians, who love Jesus Christ and who realize that real peace will only come to their region by His love. We expect to be changed forever as we visit the Garden of Gethsemane, Nazareth, the Sea of Galilee, Jericho, the Wilderness, and as we walk in the same places Jesus did while on this earth.
We are so excited for this opportunity, and would like to invite you to join us in this experience by becoming part of our support team. First and foremost - our team and Ignite need your prayers! Also, in order to make this honor a reality, each player must raise the $3,500 necessary to cover the expenses. Your prayers and partnership are so appreciated!
