Southern Wesleyan Volleyball Schedule Released

CENTRAL, S.C. - Southern Wesleyan University Head Volleyball Coach Julia Reininga begins her first season with the Warrior volleyball program in 2012, and will waste little time getting started as SWU will travel to Montreat College on August 24th-25th for the first of three straight road tournaments for the Warriors.
SWU finished the 2011 season with a 25-16 overall record and had an 8-7 mark in the always competitive Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC). The Warriors opened the season with 16 straight wins in 2011.
The Warriors will then be on the road against Limestone College (8/31-9/1) and Faulkner University (9/7-8), before opening up SSAC play at Brewton-Parker College on Friday, September 14th at 7:00 PM.
SWU will host Lee University (9/21, 7:00 PM) and Faulkner University (9/22, 3:00 PM) on back-to-back days to open their home portion of the conference schedule at newly renovated historic Tysinger Gymnasium. The Warriors will then round out the month of September on the road at conference rival Emmanuel College (9/25, 7:00 PM), University of Mobile (9/28), and Spring Hill College (9/29).
In the month of October SWU will have five home matches, along with five away dates. SWU will be at home for three straight dates against Belhaven University (10/12, 7:00 PM), Loyola University (10/13, 1:00 PM), and Emmanuel College (10/16, 7:00 PM), which will all be conference matches. The SSAC Tournament is set for November 9th and 10th.
